Rotary District Leadership Academy enters the 16th year after successfully conducting fourteen courses. According to the feedback received from the participants, the learning experience has not only helped them in knowing more about Rotary but has been immensely helpful in their professional, business and personal lives. Now, the registration is open for the District Leadership Academy for the session 2016-17 which commences on 1st October 2016.
According to Past RI President Rajendra K. Saboo, who initiated, designed and planned this unique concept: “Communication of ideas, planning, motivating and leading with enthusiasm and confidence are important aspects of the leadership skills that this Academy intends to inculcate amongst the participants.”
The programme involves two parts. First part is a six-month correspondence course followed by the second part, a 3-day (2 nights) residential workshop on leadership development.

First Part: Correspondence Course
The Correspondence course is based on Rotary knowledge. The Course commences on 1st October 2016. There will be six papers on the following subjects:

|2||Rules and procedures of Rotary International with special reference to Bylaws of District 3080.|
|3||Club Service and Club Administration|
|4||Vocational and International Service|
|5||Community Service and Youth Service|
|6||The Rotary Foundation|
Faculty shall comprise of knowledgeable Past District Governors.
Second Part: Residential Workshop on Leadership
The Leadership programme will be conducted by professional trainers. This will be a three-day and two-night residential programme in March/April 2017, dealing comprehensively with various aspects of leadership through practical training and individual interaction.

The workshop will be held at Chandigarh in the month of March/April 2017. Exact location and dates shall be intimated in due course.
Registration fee of Rs. 15,000/- per person includes Course Material, Rotary Lessons, RI Publications (Worth Rs. 1,000/-), three days and two nights stay, Boarding and Lodging at Hotel during the workshop. The fee is payable in two installments i.e. Rs 10,000/- as advance registration and balance Rs. 5,000/- before 15th March, 2017. In case someone is unable to attend, a committee of the Academy will decide the refund of Registration Fee on the merit of each case.
All Payments shall be made by way of Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Rotary District 3080 Leadership Academy” payable at Chandigarh.

Registration form with Rs. 10,000/- as advance registration fee should reach the Academy office on or before 15th September 2016.
Spouses can join in by paying concessional Registration fees @ Rs.4,000/- including meal charges and attend various sessions of the Residential Workshop.
Participants will be provided double occupancy air-conditioned rooms for stay at the same Hotel during the residential programme.
Participants from the Tri-city of Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali will have to stay in the designated Hotel compulsorily.
Each participant shall receive a Kit containing course lessons. Manual of Procedure (MOP), ABC of Rotary, Copy of District Bylaws and other reading material (worth Rs.1,000/-).
On completion of the course, each successful participant shall receive a certificate of accomplishment from the Academy at a District Function.
